During the week the kids know the rules – no TV, perform their morning “duties” as per their checklist to get ready for school, no asking mom or dad to do anything that is not related to getting ready for getting out the house.

Come Saturday mornings, things take a turn. Whilst mom and dad often head out for a run or cycle, for the kids it’s pjs for most of the morning, messy hair, late breakfasts and often, so often….trampoline times on our bed.

I know the bed specialists say mattresses are not for jumping. But you know what…in years to come I can buy a new mattress. But I can’t buy this time back when the kids were little and sheer delight was as simple as a role poly game on a slow Saturday morning.
